Travelers Rest is the perfect place to host your bar or bat mitzvah. Our configuration of rooms offers the opportunity to host up to 200 people while  providing the flexibility of using separate rooms for activities or dancing. The large outdoor space with extensive gardens allows children and adults alike plenty of room to stretch out.

Ceremony

Should you choose to have the ceremony at Travelers rest, we offer two picturesque outdoor sites. One in our back formal gardens with a waterfall as a backdrop and the other in our gazebo with your guests seated on a finely manicured lawn. Should the ceremony take place indoors, our Crystal room offers a perfect setting with a textured granite fireplace as a backdrop while our ballroom offers a more formal fireplace and mantle with ample room for a large gathering.

Cocktail Hour

Unlimited hot and cold hors d’oeuvres:

Options include your choice of up to ten hot hors d’oeuvres served buffet style in exquisite copper and brass chafing dishes as well as passed butler style on silver trays.

Assorted cheese, fruit  and crudities platters artistically presented on mirrors on the grand buffet table.

Personalized Dinner Menu

Should you choose the option of a served meal, our personalized dinner menu includes a choice of up to:

  • Choice of five appetizers
  • Tossed garden salad, herb dressing
  • Eight entrees with baked potato and vegetable du jour
  • Dessert selection from our table side dessert cart

A buffet is a great option for the children or both the children and adults. We can customize the menu with foods tailored to the younger palate for the children and more sophisticated choices for adults.
